Well despite what the weather forecast had an amazing day – slight drizzle first thing and then calm waters with lovely sunshine most of the day. Headed out to the edge of Ramsay sound and started the day with a lovely dive off Porthlisky Bay to 25mtr where an abundance of life was seen including some tidy sized dog fish and an octopus being chased by a dog fish lol. After a lunch break, bizarrely where somebody wanted to smoke – so overboard they went, fag and all!! we headed followed by a 30mtr drift dive out of the bay towards Ramsay sound. A great dive on the flooding tide. Well done to Lee McKie and Amy McKie on completing their Twinset course in the place it matters, the Sea! We headed back into Porthclais, and then used the bay just outside the harbor as a training ground to practice shot recovery and DSMB skills. A brilliant day had by all.
